1. Install bbPress

To install bbPress onto your WordPress website, you’ll need to first login to your WordPress admin area. Once you’ve done that, follow these quick and easy steps:

  1. Navigate to Plugins
  2. Select Add New
  3. Search for bbPress
  4. Click Install
  5. Click Activate

2. Create A bbPress Forum

Once you’ve installed and activated bbPress in WordPress, you’ll see new options appear in your admin panel. These include forums, topics, and replies.

To start creating your first bbPress forum, here’s what you do:

  1. Click on Forums
  2. Select Add New
  3. Provide a Title for your forum
  4. Enter a Description

  10. Click Publish to save your changes (this creates a Lost Password page)
  11. Navigate to Appearance
  12. Select Widgets
  13. Drag and drop the Login Widget to your sidebar
  14. Enter the URLs for registration and lost password pages
  15. Click Save

Adding A Forum To Wix

To get started, you’ll need to have created a Wix website. Once you’ve signed up for Wix, you’ll need to follow the next steps to get the Wix Forum App on your website.

1. Add The Forum App To Your Site

  1. Open the App Market
  2. Type in “Wix Forum” and press Enter
  3. Click Add to Site

2. Create a Category

  1. Click the Wix Forum app in your Editor
  2. Click Settings then Categories
  3. Edit the sample category or click Add New Category
  4. Enter a Category Name
  5. Enter a Category Header Title
  6. Enter a Category Header Description
  7. Select the post type
  8. Select a background
  9. Select a privacy setting
  10. Select writing permissions

3. Create Main Forum Page

  1. Click the Wix Forum app in your Editor
  2. Click Settings then Categories
  3. Click the Show More icon
  4. Click Edit
  5. Enter a name in the Forum Name field
  6. Enter a Forum Title
  7. Enter a description
  8. Select a background
